WELCOME HOME…. Our Parish family, answering a petition from our Bishop, is blessed to have living in our midst the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Face. They are Sister Delia Aurora Ibarra (local superior), Sister Paubla Jaritza Garcia and Sister Daysis Evangelista Uriarte. Their congregation was founded in Nicaragua in 1980, as Mother Teresita Ortez receive the call of the Holy Spirit to care for the orphans and widows of the war which affected their country in the 80’s. They are participating in an exchange program funded by Catholic Extension. They will be here for the next two and a half years, ministering in our diocese as members of the Team of the Diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry. The sister will live in the rectory of Saint Cyril and Methodius and like every convent, they will be under the direct authority of Bishop Bradley as warrantor of religious life in the diocese. Their presence will bless all of us in different ways, though they are not involved directly with the parish day to day life, certainly their joy and witness of Christ will gain for us lots of blessings. The aim of this initiative, United States Latin American Sisters Exchange Program, will get them directly working with families, women, teenagers and children. Welcome dear Sisters. Keep us in your prayers.
